The Board of Directors for Ark Valley Helping Hands would like to officially announce some structural and organizational changes.

After serving as Executive Director, April Obholz Bergeler has recently decided to step down from her role to pursue other professional opportunities.

From the very beginning of our organization, the collective goal has been to serve older adults in Chaffee County. We remain steadfastly committed to this important mission. With the ongoing help of our dedicated team of volunteers, we will continue to fulfill members’ requests, organize quarterly service days, make care calls, and provide personal connections for older adults in our community.

To stay true to our mission while continuing to expand our ability to serve older adults here in Chaffee, the Board of Directors is actively working through the process of folding Ark Valley Helping Hands under Chaffee County Public Health. This structural change will positively streamline our resources as we focus on our mission. We are excited about the organization’s direction.

We sincerely appreciate the on-going and extremely positive impact of our volunteers. We will continue to rely on and whole-heartedly support their passion and commitment. We actively encourage new volunteers to join our dedicated team. Together, we will continue to enrich the lives of our older neighbors through service, connection, and compassion.

Thank you for your on-going support of Ark Valley Helping Hands. Please contact us if you would like more information or have questions.
