About Ark Valley Helping Hands - Ark Valley Helping Hands

Ark Valley Helping Hands is a nonprofit in Chaffee County that helps older adults (50+) age in place and remain connected to the community.

We aim to provide a human connection and peace of mind. We step in to meet basic needs, combat loneliness and create safer home environments.

We offer social connections and key services through 116 vetted volunteers (as of June 2022).

Being A Volunteer is Rewarding and Engaging

Volunteering for Ark Valley Helping Hands provides a meaningful and practical way to connect and give back to Chaffee County's aging community.

There is no set schedule, just a minimum requirement to fulfill 6 requests per year.

Membership Perks:

All volunteers are vetted, trained and covered by insurance that protects them and you.
Although a membership is required to receive services, a membership fee is not required. An applicant can make a donation if he/she feels so inclined.
Meet new people and make new friends.
Opportunity to be more connected with the Chaffee County community.
Receive an initial warm welcome from an AVHH Warm Welcome Team member.
